Manager, PMO & Continuous Improvement - Remote

About Unreal

Our story began when two kids asked a simple question: Why does everything that tastes so good have to have so much junk?

They set out to prove that unbelievably delicious chocolate snacks could be made with real, simple ingredients and way less sugar. In doing so, they sent a bold message to the whole category: do better.

More than a decade later, that same ambitious spirit still drives Unreal. What started as a simple question has grown into a beloved national brand, raising the bar for snacking in over 35,000 stores including Target, Whole Foods Market, Costco, Sprouts, Kroger, and Publix. We're also sold online through Amazon, Thrive Market, and at unrealsnacks.com.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Manager, PMO & Continuous Improvement to enable the development of a best-in-class Project Management Office (PMO) supporting Unreal's rapidly growing business. Continuous improvement is core to who we are—it's woven into our "Endlessly Pursue Better" Core Value—and in this role, you are expected to live it daily by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment, flag risks early, and keep deliverables strictly on track.

The Manager, PMO & Continuous Improvement will enable the success of key initiatives across the business, including packaging updates, new product launches, supply chain redundancy, and cost-savings projects. In this role, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to standard by aligning multiple stakeholders and optimizing shared resources.

You will leverage your CPG project management experience and workflow tools (such as Monday.com) to oversee a diverse portfolio of cross-functional projects—tracking milestones, streamlining processes, and ensuring tight alignment across teams including Food Safety & Quality, Supply, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Brand Innovation.

The Manager, PMO & Continuous Improvement will be a vital member of the Supply team and report directly to the Director, Innovation & Stage Gate. Candidates located on the East Coast of the United States are preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management across a broad portfolio of business initiatives, including packaging updates, product launches, operational process improvements, supply chain redundancy projects, and other PMO priorities as assigned.
  • Lead weekly cross-functional meetings across key teams and departments to review project status, risks, and priorities.
  • Establish and manage project timelines, identifying key milestones and deliverables to ensure consistent on-time delivery to specifications and within budget.
  • Maintain Monday.com as the primary project management tool to track progress and streamline workflows.
  • Maintain and update centralized project management and packaging databases to ensure accurate, real-time data across teams.
  • Enable the continuous improvement of project management systems and processes, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies and driving measurable improvements across teams and processes.
  • Partner with the rest of the PMO team to consistently model our "Endlessly Pursue Better" Core Value, treating continuous improvement as an ongoing, shared responsibility.
  • Communicate project updates early and often across stakeholders, ensuring transparency on project status, risks, and critical decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain strategic alignment, foster mutual accountability, and keep deliverables on track.

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated experience in a project management role within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Flexible packaging experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Monday.com or similar workflow platforms.
  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of cross-functional projects, with the ability to quickly ramp up on new business areas and processes.
  • Proven ability to establish and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope and defend project timelines by leveraging data, evaluating operational trade-offs, and proposing alternative solutions when disruptions arise.
  • Process-oriented mindset with comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience building or maturing PMO frameworks with a demonstrated ability to streamline workflows.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to anticipating obstacles, evaluating downstream impacts, and identifying alternative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear, structured, and timely updates to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Experience working in a founder-led environment is a plus.
