<p>Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks an accomplished <strong>Infusion Pharmacy Technician</strong></p><p>________________________________________</p><p><br></p><p>NOTE- THIS IS <strong>100% REMOTE </strong>ROLE & ONLY W2 CANDIDATES/NO C2C/1099</p><p><br></p><p><em>*** Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship ***</em></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position: Infusion Pharmacy Technician (Job Id – 3487518 & 3487521)</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Cranberry Township, PA 16066 (100%Remote)</strong></p><p><strong>Duration: 3- 6 Months + Strong Possibility of Extension</strong></p><p><strong>______________________________________________________________________</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Two openings are available: one for the 7:00 AM-3:30 PM ET shift and one for the 8:00 AM-4:30 PM ET shift.</li><li>Prior Pharmacy Technician and/or infusion pharmacy experience is required.</li><li>Active Pharmacy Technician certification/registration is preferred but not required.</li><li>Prior Pharmacy Technician and/or infusion pharmacy experience required.</li><li>Direct infusion referral/order coordination experience required.</li><li>Prior authorization experience required.</li><li>Payer-policy experience required.</li><li>Five or more years of relevant infusion experience strongly preferred.</li><li>This is an administrative referral and order coordination role. The position does not make independent clinical decisions.</li><li>WeInfuse and/or InfuseFlow experience preferred.</li><li>Candidate must be comfortable working independently in a remote, high-volume environment.</li><li>Candidates must provide their own equipment for the duration of the contract. If hired FTE, the client will provide equipment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>EDUCATION:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Associate degree or higher required.</li><li>Healthcare, pharmacy, medical assisting, nursing, allied health, health sciences, healthcare administration, or a related discipline preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>CERTIFICATIONS</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Active Pharmacy Technician certification/registration is preferred but not required.</li><li>TECHNICAL SKILLS</li><li>Direct experience reading and entering infusion medication orders.</li><li>Understanding loading and maintenance dosing.</li><li>Creating and maintaining patient profiles.</li><li>Managing incoming faxes/new orders.</li><li>Reviewing medical records, payer policies, prior authorization requirements, and applicable lab criteria.</li><li>Documenting accurately in electronic systems.</li><li>WeInfuse and/or InfuseFlow experience preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Referral Coordination Specialist is a critical member of the revenue cycle and patient access workflow, responsible for helping patients move from referral receipt through treatment readiness. The role combines administrative referral coordination with technically detailed infusion order work. Successful candidates must bring prior Pharmacy Technician and/or infusion pharmacy experience so they can accurately read infusion orders, understand medication and dosing terminology, recognize required clinical documentation, and compare records against payer requirements. The position works collaboratively with referral sources, Sales, Intake, Nursing/Clinical Operations, payers, and patients to resolve documentation and authorization barriers while escalating any matter that requires clinical judgment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Review incoming faxes and new infusion orders; identify document type, create/route the appropriate workflow, and ensure orders are worked accurately and promptly.</li><li>Create new patient profiles and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, medication, order, and referral information in the operating system.</li><li>Read and enter infusion medication orders, including loading and maintenance doses, for nurse/clinical review; verify that required order elements are present and escalate unclear, conflicting, or clinically sensitive information.</li><li>Review referrals, medical records, office notes, and supporting clinical documentation for completeness before intake and prior authorization processing.</li><li>Review commercial payer medical policies, billing guidelines, step-therapy requirements, non-preferred drug requirements, site-of-care criteria, and other authorization requirements to identify missing documentation.</li><li>Review relevant lab results against established payer or therapy criteria and flag/escalate findings that require clinical interpretation or review.
