Product Offering Covering five proven product areas - learning, fleet operations, compliance, voyage planning and performance management - supporting its customers from ship to shore, from training and people operations, to voyage compliance and optimisation. 🧭 Navigating the position Senior Business Consultant – Docmap The Senior Business Consultant is the trusted advisor to Docmap customers throughout the solution lifecycle. The role combines deep product knowledge, business process consultancy and maritime industry expertise to help customers achieve successful business outcomes. Working closely with Sales, Product Management, Senior Systems Engineers and Customer Support, the Senior Business Consultant leads discovery workshops, designs customer solutions, manages implementation projects and ensures customers maximise the value of their investment in Docmap. The role also plays a key part in pre-sales engagements, product feedback, customer success initiatives and continuous improvement of consultancy standards across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead customer discovery workshops to understand business processes, operational challenges and project objectives. Design business solutions using Docmap that align with customer requirements and industry best practice. Act as the primary business consultant throughout implementation projects, ensuring successful customer outcomes. Configure Docmap to meet customer business requirements and validate solutions through demonstrations and user acceptance testing. Manage implementation projects, including planning, scope, stakeholder communication, risks and delivery milestones. Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and provide strategic guidance on the adoption and optimisation of Docmap. Deliver customer training, workshops and knowledge transfer to support successful adoption. Identify opportunities to improve customer utilisation, retention and long-term success. Support Sales during pre-sales activities, demonstrations, discovery sessions and solution validation. Work closely with Senior Systems Engineers to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements. Produce high-quality project documentation, business process documentation and implementation deliverables. Contribute to product development by capturing customer feedback and identifying opportunities for product enhancement. Promote consultancy standards, methodologies and best practices across the Docmap consultancy team. Mentor colleagues and support the development of junior consultants where appropriate. Maintain accurate project, customer and opportunity information within Salesforce and other business systems. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Significant experience delivering enterprise software implementation or business consultancy projects. Excellent understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering and solution design. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Maritime operational knowledge or experience within regulated industries is highly desirable. Excellent presentation, workshop facilitation and customer communication skills. Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical software solutions. Commercial awareness with the ability to identify customer growth opportunities. Experience working with SaaS, document management, HSEQ or compliance platforms would be advantageous. Comfortable working across global customer accounts and collaborating with geographically distributed teams. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes. Significant enterprise software implementation or business consultancy experience, with business process analysis, solution design, project management, stakeholder management, presentation, and customer communication skills.
