Remote Financial Due Diligence Analyst

Numbers rarely tell the whole story on their own — someone has to figure out what's hiding underneath a clean-looking balance sheet before a deal closes. We're hiring a Remote Financial Due Diligence Analyst to do exactly that. About the Role You'd be evaluating acquisition targets before money changes hands: pulling apart financial statements, stress-testing assumptions, and flagging anything that doesn't add up. This isn't a back-office analyst seat. Findings from this role shape whether a deal moves forward, gets renegotiated, or gets walked away from entirely. What the Work Involves Quality-of-earnings analysis, working capital assessments, and debt evaluations — these form the core of most engagements. You'll dig through KPIs and financial statements, looking for anomalies or patterns that don't align with the story management is telling. Reports need to be clear enough that an executive who hasn't read the raw data can still make a fast, confident call. Cross-functional work comes up constantly too — strategy teams, investment leads, finance leadership all lean on your findings at different points. Post-deal, you'll sometimes stick around to help with integration, set up financial controls, and check whether the projected synergies actually materialize. What You'll Need We're asking for a Bachelor's degree at a minimum in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field — a Master's is welcome but not required. On experience, 3 years or more in financial due diligence, audit, or transaction advisory work. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field 3+ years in financial due diligence, audit, or transaction advisory services Can dissect financial statements and spot what's off, not just what's there Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP Familiarity with acquisition modeling, deal structuring, and capital markets basics Communicates findings clearly, in writing and out loud, to people without a finance background Not required, but genuinely useful: CFA, CPA, or FMVA progress, exposure to AI-assisted analysis tools, or comfort working across multiple deals with shifting timelines at once. Tools You'll Work With Dashboards get built in Power BI or Tableau. Alteryx and SQL handle the repetitive parts of data prep so your time goes toward analysis instead of cleanup. Python shows up for cash flow modeling and valuation forecasting when a spreadsheet isn't enough. Document review runs through data rooms like Intralinks, alongside ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP. A few AI-driven tools are in the mix too, mostly for document parsing and scenario modeling — they speed things up, but the judgment call still sits with you. How the Team Works Fully remote, with teams spread across time zones and collaboration running through Slack, Zoom, and Jira. Check-ins happen regularly, and there's a real effort to keep communication open rather than siloed — town halls, shared forums, that sort of thing. This role is posted across several channels, including Naukri Mitra, though every candidate goes through the same evaluation regardless of where the application originated. Pay and Benefits This position pays $123,000 annually. Fully remote — no commute, no relocation required Flexible hours built around actual work-life balance, not just the phrase Annual learning stipend for courses, certifications, or books Company-sponsored laptop and home office setup, including dual monitors Comprehensive health coverage for you and your family Where This Can Lead Analysts who consistently deliver sharp, defensible findings tend to move toward Senior M&A Strategist or Corporate Finance Lead roles over time, and some shift toward AI-enhanced finance analytics as that side of the field continues to expand. Sponsored certifications — CFA, CPA, FMVA — and quarterly growth planning with a mentor are both part of how that path gets supported here. Apply Open to remote applicants worldwide, including candidates based in the U.S. and India, along with several other eligible regions. Send a resume along with a short note on your due diligence or transaction advisory background, and we'll follow up on next steps.
