Remote Dental Insurance Specialist - *CA or WA candidates only*

Job Summary

Join the Clean Claims Dental Management team as a Remote Dental Insurance Specialist. We are a Dental RCM Company who handles all insurance related responsibilities for dental practices. In this energetic role, you will verify insurance coverage, follow up on unpaid claims (AR), send claims and post payments to the ledger.

Your proactive communication skills and dental insurance knowledge will help ensure a smooth experience for every client we serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the dental insurance industry while working remotely. Day time availability is required.

Responsibilities

  • You must have your own computer with a secure home WIFI connection.
  • Enter and update patient information accurately into Dental PMS systems and other data management tools like Google Sheets.
  • Assist with claims processing, verifying coverage, and resolving billing or claim issues efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of interactions, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and managing a healthy aging report.
  • Appeal denied claims and resubmitting with proper documentation.
  • Practice effective phone call management and phone etiquette to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
  • Prior experience with dental insurance is REQUIRED. Minimum 5 years of recent experience is required.
  • Must be HIPAA certified.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix and/or Open Dental. Must have experience with clearinghouses (Vyne and DentalxChange).
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance concepts, coverage, guidelines and CDT codes.
  • Experience in a dental practice front desk position, preferably as insurance coordinator or office manager.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with an emphasis on active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical proficiency with data entry tasks, and general computer literacy necessary for daily operations.
