Overview of the Role

A Mid Weight Interior Architect job is available in Surrey, supporting luxury residential projects for private clients and developers across the UK and internationally. The role covers concept development, presentations, technical packages and detailed interior architectural information. You will work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating closely with senior colleagues and the wider design team.

Practice & Project Information

This established interior design studio has a team of 16 and delivers high-end residential interiors alongside selected hospitality work. Projects require strong creative design, technical detailing and accurate documentation throughout all stages. The team works collaboratively across design development, coordination and project delivery, with opportunities to attend project sites and meetings where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support projects across concept, design development, technical and delivery stages
  • Produce design proposals, client presentations, schedules and coordinated technical drawing packages
  • Develop detailed interior architectural information under senior supervision
  • Coordinate regularly with colleagues, senior team members and external project teams
  • Liaise with clients and other project stakeholders as required
  • Attend project sites and meetings when needed

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years' UK experience within luxury residential or high-end hospitality projects
  • Experience taking projects from initial concept through detailed design and technical documentation
  • Strong technical knowledge with proven interior architectural detailing and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a close-knit, collaborative design team
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car are essential for commuting

Benefits and Package

Salary from £40,000 depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working with four days in the office, regular studio social events and team activities.
