Job Description:

  • Coordinate with analytics, IT, and other departments to complete work using insights from subject-matter experts
  • Apply advanced knowledge of data, modeling, optimization, and analytical tools
  • Apply disciplined analytics to predict behavior and optimize programs and products for revenue growth
  • Use advanced or predictive modeling to develop, test, and validate cases that improve program outcomes and quality
  • Contribute innovative approaches to financial models and build knowledge of business context
  • Analyze complex data and communicate findings to organizational units at the appropriate level
  • Apply mathematical concepts with potentially significant business impact
  • Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives
  • Make decisions regarding work methods in ambiguous situations with minimal direction
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Report to the Associate Director, Informatics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 or more years of data analysis experience
  • Technical proficiency in coding and data visualization tools, preferably SAS, Python, PowerBI or similar tools
  • Experience in problem solving, research and analysis tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques preferred
  • Experience using data to drive business outcomes and decisions preferred
  • Experience in PQA/NCQA measure analytics preferred
  • Knowledge of or experience in CMS Stars preferred
  • Home internet with minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
  • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
  • Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required
