Group Lead
<p><strong>Job Title:- </strong>Group Leader</p><p><strong>Duration:- </strong>12- Months- position (May go Longer)<strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Location:- </strong>Detroit, Michigan</p><p><strong>Shift</strong>:-</p><p>M-F 1st shift: 5:30AM to 3PM (Flexible to work in any shifts)</p><p>Onsite – no remote</p><p><strong><u>Job Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p>Business Group – build the Silverado EV, Sierra EV, Hummer EV, etc. they need to staff all of these lines, they manage general assembly, responsible for the quality of the stations, making the build schedule, these group leaders will have around 40 hourly people reporting to them that they will be managing, daily meetings, quality check points, they will be responsible for filling out paperwork, standard manufacturing group leader position</p><p>Team structure – team of around 40 people, they will also be in a peer group with around 4 other group leaders, they will also interact with body paint quality departments depending on issues and defects</p><p>Motivator for these positions – backfilling people that went to other positions, some of these people were former contractors that went direct</p><p>Education – High School Diploma, Bachelor is preferred</p><p>Years of experience – 1-2 years experience, this is an entry level position, would like experience in manufacturing, people who were previously in this role have worked in plants or as a supervisor and work out well</p><p>Leadership experience – ideally yes but not required, if someone was a quality focused person in manufacturing previously the manager would like to see this candidate</p><p>Bonus – quality/root cause background</p><p>Soft skills – communication, being able to hold accountability to the union, interpersonal discussions</p><p>Required – experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, computer knowledge</p><p>Manufacturing experience</p><p>Quality and problem solving/root cause experience</p><p>Team building experience</p>
