<p><strong>Field Service Engineer / Project Manager</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Home-Based (UK) Hemel Hempstead</p><p><br></p><p>At Agfa Radiology Solutions, we're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Field Service Engineer / Project Manager to support our growing portfolio of digital radiology solutions across the UK and Ireland.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, playing a key role in delivering cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technology that directly supports patient care.</p><p><br></p><p>You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting radiology equipment while leading customer projects from initial handover through to successful completion.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p><p><strong>Field Service Engineering</strong></p><p>• Install, commission and maintain Agfa imaging systems and associated ICT infrastructure</p><p>• Diagnose and rectify technical faults on customer sites</p><p>• Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades and corrective service activities• Deliver outstanding customer service and technical support</p><p>• Produce clear, accurate and professional service reports</p><p>• Manage your own workload and daily schedule effectively</p><p>• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, ISO and WEEE processes</p><p>• Support networking, remote diagnostics and healthcare IT integrations</p><p>• Build positive relationships with customers, clinical users and internal teams</p><p>• Participate in occasional overnight stays and travel where required</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Project Management</strong></p><p>As part of this role, you will also take ownership of customer projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed objectives.</p><p>• Act as the primary customer contact throughout project delivery</p><p>• Take ownership of project handovers from Sales and Pre-Sales teams</p><p>• Develop project plans, schedules and implementation strategies• Manage customer expectations and stakeholder communication</p><p>• Monitor project budgets and costs</p><p>• Control project timelines, quality and deliverables</p><p>• Identify and mitigate project risks</p><p>• Coordinate third-party contractors and suppliers</p><p>• Lead project review meetings and escalation activities</p><p>• Ensure project documentation is maintained to a high standard</p><p>• Support project invoicing and revenue recognition processes</p><p>• Drive successful project completion and customer acceptance</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><p>• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent experience in: Electronics / Electrical Engineering or ICT / Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering</p><p>• Strong ICT, networking and Windows environment knowledge</p><p>• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills• Strong planning, organisational and project management capabilities</p><p>• Exceptional customer-facing communication skills</p><p>• Full UK Driving Licence</p><p>• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><p>• Experience supporting healthcare imaging equipment</p><p>• Experience with CR, DR and Mobile X-ray Systems</p><p>• Understanding of PACS, RIS and healthcare IT environments• Experience delivering X-ray room installations and refurbishment projects</p><p>• Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent)</p><p>• Experience working on electromechanical systems</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You'll Get</strong></p><p>• Company vehicle or car allowance</p><p>• Laptop and mobile phone</p><p>• Ongoing training and professional development• Career progression opportunities</p><p>• Opportunity to work on industry-leading medical imaging technology</p><p>• Supportive and collaborative team environment</p><p>• The chance to make a real difference to patient care across the UK and Ireland</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Diversity and Inclusion</strong></p><p>At Agfa, our mission is to ensure that everyone belongs.
