Key Responsibilities

In this full‑time, remote position, you will serve as the backbone of our pharmacy’s data entry and claims processing functions. Your day‑to‑day tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Accurately entering prescription data into Pioneer Rx and other pharmacy management systems.
• Verifying patient and prescriber information—date of birth, contact details, allergies, disease states, and billing data—to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Processing new and refill prescriptions, including electronic and paper orders, and coordinating with pharmacists for verification and approval.
• Managing third‑party claims adjudication: reviewing denials, initiating appeals, and following up with payers to secure timely reimbursement.
• Conducting outreach to patients, providers, and third‑party payers to resolve prescription issues, clarify coverage, and obtain prior authorizations.
• Maintaining meticulous records for Controlled Substance Dispensing, Medicare DMEPOS paperwork, and other regulatory filings.
• Collaborating with the Operations team to support Medication Therapy Management (MTM) initiatives and data collection efforts.
• Providing exceptional customer service by handling inquiries professionally, promptly, and courteously.
• Adhering to arenaflex’s policies on data security, confidentiality, and quality assurance.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy license (or equivalent state license).
• Proficiency with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong understanding of prescription drug regulations, including MMEs, PDMP, and controlled substance protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medication information to patients and providers.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills and the ability to use available resources to resolve issues quickly.
• Current national pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB, NPhT).

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

• Experience with Medicare Part D and DMEPOS billing.
• Background in retail pharmacy operations and workflow optimization.
