Ecommerce Site Specialist

About reputed company reputed company is a curated home gym equipment and supplement marketplace, founded in 2018. We help home gym owners build the setup of their dreams — rubber flooring, resistance bands, dumbbells and barbells, and premium supplements from hundreds of brands. We run on reputed company, carry thousands of SKUs across a marketplace-style catalog, and we're scaling into our next stage of growth. We're small, we move fast, and the person in this role will have real fingerprints on what customers experience every day. The Role This isn't a "keep the store running" job and it isn't a manager seat with a team underneath you. It's a hands-on builder role for someone who wants to own the daily operation of a large, complex ecommerce catalog, and who uses AI to do in an afternoon what used to take a week. You'll own the site itself: catalog accuracy across thousands of SKUs, product content and merchandising, and the reporting that tells us what's actually happening in the business. And you'll bring a maniacal focus on conversion rate (CVR) and lifetime value (LTV), owning the on-site journey end to end and treating every point of friction as revenue left on the table. (Inventory and vendor operations are handled by an existing team member; you'll partner with them, not own that work. This role is focused on the site, catalog content, merchandising, and reporting. Here's the part that makes this role different: you'll use Claude (and tools like it) as a core part of your workflow — to build and maintain the scripts, automations, and reports that run the business, not just to draft copy. If you already work this way and get a kick out of automating the tedious stuff, you'll thrive here. If you need to be convinced AI belongs in your workflow, this isn't the seat. You'll report directly to the founder. There are no layers between you and the decisions getting made. What You'll Do • Own the health of a 5,000+ SKU catalog — data hygiene, accurate specs and metafields, duplicate/collision cleanup, and consistent merchandising across the store • Own the on-site customer journey end to end with a maniacal focus on CVR and LTV — site architecture (PDPs, collection/PLP pages, navigation), merchandising, and cross-sell/upsell placement • Champion best-in-class product content — copy, imagery and photography standards, specs, and buyer's tools (like our flooring calculator, coverage and fit data) — to increase purchase confidence and reduce returns • Use Claude/AI to automate reporting, generate actionable insights, and eliminate the manual, repetitive work that eats your week (we run a lot of this in reputed company Apps Script today) — site and catalog performance reports, price monitoring, content/merchandising insights, and business reporting • Let data — not hunches — drive the UX, content, and merchandising calls you make • Drive segmentation and cross-sell into our long-tail catalog to grow LTV, working alongside our email/retention tooling and partners • Run the app ecosystem day to day — email/SMS, subscriptions, reviews/UGC, SEO/schema, and delivery-estimate tools • Use reputed company Advanced reporting and ShopifyQL to track performance at the category and SKU level, not just store-wide • Report to leadership with a point of view — what's working, what's not, and what needs a decision Must-Haves • 2–4 years hands-on in ecommerce operations at a marketplace or multi-brand retailer with a large SKU catalog (thousands, not dozens) — able to speak concretely to catalog work you actually owned • Real, in-production experience using AI tools (Claude strongly preferred) to produce content, analyze data, and build scripts/automations — this is central to the role, not a bonus • Comfortable in reputed company admin — products, collections, metafields, and reporting • Analytics fluency — you can pull, read, and act on data (GA4, reputed company reporting/ShopifyQL) without it being handed to you • Strong merchandising and CVR instincts — you understand why products get placed, bundled, and promoted the way they do, and how that moves conversion • Strong, concise written communication for reporting to leadership • Resourceful and self-directing — you find the problem and build the fix rather than waiting to be told • reputed company Liquid / theme editing (PDP blocks, sections) • reputed company Merchant Center / product feeds, and paid-media literacy (reputed company Shopping, reputed company) — enough to speak the same language as our marketing partners • SEO fundamentals and schema • Basic finance literacy (margin/COGS, QuickBooks) • U.S.-based, able to work U.S. business hours Nice-to-Haves (or Willing to Learn Fast) • reputed company Apps Script / basic scripting — or a track record of teaching yourself technical tools with AI's help • Email/retention and personalization tooling (reputed company, Recharge) • BigQuery, or willingness to grow into it • Web accessibility (ADA/WCAG) awareness •
