Credit Analyst ($25.50 - $28.50 per hour)

<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst focuses on key customer accounts as well as working with the AR team providing support where needed. The shifts are Monday - Friday, and the wage range is $25.50 - $28.50 per hour. <br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.</li><li>Focus on key customer accounts and rectify discrepancies in a timely manner.</li><li>Liaison with other departments to solve issues.</li><li>Provide training and guidance to staff when required.</li><li>Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.</li><li>Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.</li><li>Demonstrate superior customer service when speaking with the public.</li><li>Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions daily.</li><li>Assure that invoices are correct and check for any errors.</li><li>Resolve discrepancies among management and sales team.</li><li>Work closely with Credit Manager to collect past due accounts.</li><li>Maintain relationships with customers while collecting payments.</li><li>Make customers aware of any past due accounts.</li><li>File intents, liens, and waivers.</li><li>Create new accounts and verify credit.</li><li>Assist with any projects and tasks required by the Credit Manager.</li><li>Meet month end deadlines.<br></li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>1-2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar role.</li><li>Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Detail orientated with disciplined work habits. </li><li>Proven ability to effectively prioritize and organize workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to shifting priorities. </li><li>Takes initiative, is proactive in their work, and results oriented.</li><li>Strong technical skills including advanced Microsoft Office and MS Navigation.</li><li>Proven ability to work in a team environment. </li><li>A positive can-do attitude is essential. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of general accounting procedures.</li><li>Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.<br></li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><p>Sitting for extended periods of time.</p><p> <br><br></p>The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09<p> </p><p> </p>Job Location: GMS Family of Locations - Nanaimo<p> </p>4950 Jordan Avenue Nanaimo, BC V9T 2H8<p> </p><p> </p><p>SRS Distribution Inc., including all its subsidiaries, is committed to providing equal employment.
