Control & Reporting Accounting Analyst

About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial information within the organization. You may coach and/or provide guidance to team members to ensure complex tasks are completed to organizational standards. This is a hybrid role based out of our Plano, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge within the Control and Reporting area to independently execute complex tasks and initiatives following best practices and methods with minimal oversight.
  • Conducts financial modeling and analysis involving cross-functional teams to inform budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Advises cross-functional management on financial strategy and risk assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Communicates financial performance findings to management, informing them of control weaknesses and opportunities for optimization.
  • Manages regular reviews of financial performance metrics, identifying trends and variances to inform management decisions.
  • Mentors associates on financial reporting processes and compliance standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contributes to the implementation of key area processes and initiatives, and ensures methods align with the overall functional and business strategy, while operating effectively in a matrix organization to align multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA required
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

  • Superior analytical and problem solving capabilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced matrix organization.
