At Pura, we believe life is better when it smells good. Fragrance has the unique power to transform spaces, elevate moods, and create lasting memories. But we know it can do even more. That’s why we’re pioneering the future of fragrance, combining cutting-edge smart home technology with premium, clean scents to create personalized, meaningful experiences in every home.

We’re not just a fragrance company—we’re on a mission to change the way people experience scent.

Why Join Pura?

Our journey began with two innovators, Richie Stapler and Bruno Lima, and their shared vision of revolutionizing how we experience fragrance. Since then, Pura has grown into a company that sells a fragrance every 3.7 seconds, partnering with iconic brands like Curio, Anthropologie, and Disney. We’ve been recognized as the Fastest Growing Company in Utah, and we are passionate about making scent a core part of life’s most memorable moments.

Your Role at Pura:

Pura is seeking an Account Manager, Retail Partnerships (Beauty Channel) to grow and strengthen our retail partnerships in the beauty channel. This person will own relationships with key accounts, develop plans that drive sales, and work across teams to execute launches, merchandising, promotions, and education in stores.

The ideal candidate understands how beauty retailers operate, builds trusted relationships with buyers, and uses account performance and consumer insights to identify opportunities. This role will also partner with the VP of Retail Sales and Senior Director to pursue new accounts that are a strong fit for Pura’s brand and growth strategy.

You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.

What You’ll Own:

  • Manage strategic retail accounts: Build strong relationships with buyers and other key retail partners. Develop account plans that align Pura’s goals with each retailer’s priorities, customers, and shopping experience.
  • Grow the business: Identify opportunities to expand assortment, store distribution, placement, and visibility within existing accounts. Lead account conversations and coordinate with internal teams to bring those opportunities to market.
  • Drive merchandising and marketing: Partner with marketing, creative, and product teams on displays, promotions, launches, and retailer marketing programs. Tailor plans to the beauty shopper and measure their impact.
  • Support new account development: Partner with the VP of Retail Sales and Senior Director to identify and strategically pursue new beauty accounts based on brand fit, customer alignment, and growth potential. Build relationships with prospective partners and support pitches, negotiations, and onboarding.
  • Improve sales in stores: Manage support in stores, field education, and events, including Pura’s partnership with Beauty Barrage. Use insights from individual stores to identify execution gaps and opportunities to improve sales.
  • Own account performance: Monitor sales, inventory, promotions, and other key measures. Share clear performance updates and recommendations with retail partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strengthen forecasting: Work closely with Demand Planning to build and refine account forecasts using sales trends, promotional plans, inventory, and retailer insights. Flag risks early and help address potential stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate order execution: Partner with operations and retail contacts to support accurate, timely purchase order fulfillment. Help resolve order, routing, and delivery issues while keeping partners informed.

Qualifications:

  • Total Professional Experience: 7–10+ years in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
  • Wholesale Industry Focus: At least 3–5 years specifically within wholesale, commercial distribution, or retail partner channels.
  • People Leadership: 2–4+ years managing, mentoring, or directly leading account managers or sales representatives is preferred.
  • Key Account Management: Proven history managing major revenue-driving accounts (e.g., major national retailers, regional distributors, or pure-play e-commerce wholesalers).
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising, promotions, store execution, and sales across stores and digital channels.
  • Ability to interpret sales and inventory data and turn insights into practical account actions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organization and follow through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work across teams.
  • Established relationships with beauty retail decision makers are a plus.
